ROSEHILL - Race 9 No.1 - SEPALS - Close-up in G1 Newmarket fresh. Outstanding winner G1 Rupert Clarke 2nd-up in Spring riding hot speed and going for home early. Beat all-bar Autumn Glow in Golden Eagle. Big weight but top pick.

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON - Race 4 No.13 - ACTUALITY - Resumes. Sharp trial win beating Stolli Boli clearly. Beat all-bar Just Like Gaby fresh last prep then beat key rival here Fission. Looks some value double-figure odds early?

Race 8 - G1 TAB Australian Cup - WFA - 2000m

1 - 1 - TOM KITTEN - Ridden closer in All-Star Mile and travelled-up sweetly then bit too strong. Very good at 2000m behind two world-class horses in Q.E. Stks this time last year.

2 - 5 - BIRDMAN - Excellent return with limited luck/ room then two very good wins, latest was pretty soft too, easily beating Light Infantry Man who ran well in Cox Plate. Tom Kitten beat him 1.5L in TAB Champ Stks (heavy track). Will be strong at 2000m.

3 - 8 - PRIDE OF JENNI - Didn’t get away with big lead mid race in All-Star Mile but she was gallant when collared by Tom Kitten. She looked there like she needs 2000m now. Fitter? Leader bias again would help!!

4 - 10 - LEICA LUCY - Two terrific finale’s her last two and latest was against the pattern of the day here when 1L off Pride Of Jenni (who had pattern on-side). You can sure make a case for her here at the odds.

5 - 6 - SABAJ - Slashing run latest from him ridden colder… He did get very close to them! Must have a case on that.
