With the AFL having named their main musical act for the Grand Final, Corey Parker has named the artist the NRL should attempt to get for its Grand Final.

On Monday, the AFL confirmed that Australian singer Kylie Minogue will be performing at the MCG for it's biggest game.

With the league having now secured their headline act, attention has turned to who the NRL could get.

One global artist the NRL could chase is Olivia Dean.

The British pop sensation has dominated the airwaves since the launch of her second album The Art of Loving last year, which includes hits such as ‘Man I Need’, ‘Lady Lady’ and ‘So Easy (To Fall in Love)’ alongside her collab with Sam Fender on ‘Rein Me In’.

This saw her sweep the BRIT awards with Best Album and Song of the Year, alongside picking up Best New Artist at this year’s Grammys.

Following the success of The Art of Loving, she’ll be touring Australia and New Zealand in October with her first tour date on October 6 at Rod Laver Arena.

With the NRL Grand Final being played the day before she begins that leg, Dean could potentially be available to perform.

And if she is, then Parker thinks it would be the perfect pick for the NRL’s biggest day.

“I think there is an opening for the NRL to claw one back,” Parker declared on SENQ Breakfast.

“There’s a plethora of people you can choose from.

“Olivia Dean is touring the country at the time of the NRL Grand Final.

“My goodness, there is no more topical person in the world at the moment.

“If the NRL got Olivia Dean, it would be all-time.”

The NRL Grand Final takes place on October 5 at Accor Stadium.
