SEN 1170am confirmed as NSW’s leading sports radio podcast producer

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has strengthened its position in New South Wales, with SEN 1170am emerging as the leading sports radio podcast destination in the state, following the release of the Australian Podcast Ranker results for March 2026.

Of the 15 NSW‑based radio shows to feature in the Australian Top 300 Podcast Ranker for the month, SEN 1170am accounted for four NSW-produced titles, representing 27% of total NSW radio show share. This places SEN 1170am second overall in NSW, trailing only Nine.

SEN 1170am also retained its position as the number one ranked network for sports radio podcasts in NSW, reinforcing its status as the go‑to destination for on‑demand sports content, particularly across rugby league.

Leading the SEN 1170am charge was The Run Home with Joel & Fletch (with Bryan Fletcher, Justin Horo and Chad Townsend) which ranked third overall among NSW radio shows in the Australian Podcast Ranker based on monthly downloads. With 147,504 monthly downloads, The Run Home with Joel & Fletch finished ahead of NOVA Entertainment’s flagship program, Fitzy, Wippa & Kate, (which had 135,222 monthly downloads), highlighting the program’s strong on‑demand momentum.

Other SEN 1170am and NSW‑based titles also featured prominently, with Morning Glory with Matty Johns (40,367 monthly downloads) and Kick Off with Brandy and Jimmy (with Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander and Jimmy Smith – 87,601 downloads) continuing to attract strong national audiences, while SEN League (51,830 downloads) maintained its upward trajectory within SEN’s expanding rugby league podcast portfolio.

The NSW results form part of a broader national performance by SEN, which featured 17 podcasts in the Australian Top 300 for March, recording 866,000 unique listens and 4.2M downloads, demonstrating the network’s ability to convert live radio audiences into sustained podcast engagement.

SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the results clearly demonstrated the strength of SEN 1170am and SEN League programming in the NSW market.

“These results confirm SEN 1170am as the leading sports radio podcast destination in New South Wales,” Hutchison said.

“To account for more than a quarter of all NSW radio shows in the Australian Podcast Ranker, rank second overall across all networks, and outperform major national competitors is a significant achievement.”
