Brisbane’s Ben Talty has given insight into where his NRL future lies as his contract nears its conclusion.

Having been on a train and trial contract from North Sydney Bears last June, the 27-year-old found himself making his NRL debut in Round 18, where he played 10 games for the season.

Whilst he would be dropped in the Grand Final to accommodate the return of Pat Carrigan, he would be elevated into the club’s top 30 list through to 2027.

In 2026, Talty continued his form off the bench, having played every game this season.

With the middle forward available to negotiate with opposition from November 1, there had been the possibility of joining the Perth Bears, having previously played for what will be their feeder team.

But despite any potential interest, Talty admits he has his heart set on staying with the reigning premiers and with coach Michael 'Madge' Maguire.

“It hasn’t crossed my mind, to be honest,” Talty declared on SEN 1170 and SENQ's The Run Home.

“I've got to respect what this club's given me, you know?

“I don't wanna play under any other coach besides Madge too.

“I don't wanna be anywhere else. I'm settled in Brisbane now.

“I'm happy with where I'm at.”

The Broncos will next feature on ANZAC Day eve when they take on the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium.

SEN will have live coverage of the match from 8pm AEST through Broncos Radio on SENQ and on the SEN app.
