Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is set to deliver live coverage of the NRL’s 2026 Women’s State of Origin series, with the three‑game format getting underway this week. SEN holds the audio broadcast rights to all three matches of the series and will bring fans comprehensive coverage across radio and digital platforms as the premier representative competition in women’s rugby league continues to grow.
The series begins with Game 1 this Thursday, April 30, played at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle, before moving to Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane for Game 2 (Thursday 14 May) and concluding with Game 3 at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast (Thursday 28 May). All matches will be broadcast across SEN and will also be available via SEN Stadium – where fans can listen live in-venue, and SEN Sync, so fans can sync SEN’s commentary with their television broadcast.
For Game 1, SEN’s call team will feature Brenton Speed, one of Australia’s most experienced rugby league broadcasters, alongside Mary Konstantopoulos, a leading sports journalist and presenter, and Georgia Roche, Newcastle Knights NRLW playmaker and England international. Roche will bring elite‑level insight to the coverage, having represented England at international level while also playing in the top club competition in the world - the NRLW - for the Knights.
Kick off is at 7.45pm, with the broadcast commencing from 7pm.
SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the network was proud to continue its commitment to women’s rugby league by broadcasting the entire 2026 Women’s State of Origin series.
“The Women’s State of Origin has quickly established itself as one of the most compelling events on the rugby league calendar,” Hutchison said. “We’re pleased to be broadcasting all three matches live, starting in Newcastle this week, and to have a high‑quality commentary team that brings both experience and current playing insight to the coverage.”
