Anthony Seibold has switched codes by taking up a role with Collingwood in the AFL for the remainder of the 2026 season.

The former Manly coach, who was sacked by the Sea Eagles in late March, has started work with the Magpies under Craig McRae who he knows well.

“The last couple of weeks I’ve been doing a little bit of work for Collingwood. I know the head coach very well,” Seibold said on Channel 7’s Agenda Setters: Rugby League.

“I’ve been down there a couple of times so I’m going to have a small role there for the rest of the season.”

Channel 7’s Mitch Cleary outlined the role Seibold has undertaken.

“Sacked Manly Sea Eagles NRL coach Anthony Seibold has joined Collingwood,” Cleary reported.

“He’ll work with coaches and football department staff in a part-time role to assist with their off-field development. Has a close relationship with Craig McRae.”

Former Broncos coach Seibold spent just over three years at Manly, departing after a 0-3 start to the 2026 season.
