Pep Guardiola’s remarkable reign at Manchester City is drawing to a close, according to reports in the UK.

The Spanish tactician is set to leave City at season’s end after 10 savagely successful seasons at the helm. The Daily Mail is reporting that Guardiola, 55, will stand down once the current campaign is complete.

City are chasing Arsenal for another title and next play Bournemouth away on Wednesday morning AEST, meaning Guardiola’s final game in charge will be against Aston Villa at home this weekend.

During his time in Manchester, Guardiola has won 20 trophies including six Premier League titles, a Champions League triumph and three FA Cups - the most recent last weekend.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano is suggesting that Enzo Maresca is the man to replace Pep at the Etihad Stadium.

Maresca worked as Guardiola’s assistant prior to taking the Leicester City job in 2023. He took over at Chelsea in June 2024 before stepping away on New Year’s Day earlier this year.
