Justin Horo has praised the performance of Cronulla's Ronaldo Mulitalo following his return to the NRL during Magic Round.
Making his debut in 2019 with the Sharks, Mulitalo has become one of the side's best players, scoring 102 tries across his career (the third most in club history).
But the New Zealand representative had been unsighted in 2026 following an ACL rupture during last year's Pacific Championships.
However, you'd hardly know it watching his performance against the Bulldogs.
In his first match back, Mulitalo was back to his brilliant best, having run for 187 metres, which saw him score two tries, a line break and a line break assist in their 38-16 win.
With the 26-year-old back in the starting line-up, Horo believes his return highlights his importance to Cronulla.
“Ronaldo Mulitalo is clearly the most valuable player for the Sharks,” Horo said on SEN 1170 and SENQ’s The Run Home.
“He just brings the energy.
“I don't think he's the best winger, but not by much.
"But I think he's the most valuable winger in the competition because he's the heartbeat of the team for better or worse.”
Mulitalo is expected to feature in Cronulla’s next match against Manly Sea Eagles in Round 13.
That takes place on May 29 at Ocean Protect Stadium with kick-off taking place at 8pm AEST.
