The NSW Blues remain confident Mitchell Moses will be fit to play in Origin II despite not training with the side six days out.
Thursday was initially set as crunch time for a call on Moses’ health and subsequent availability for Origin II.
If Moses was ruled out, Ethan Strange would be promoted to the starting line-up to emulate his Origin I heroics, with Dolphins’ rookie Isaiya Katoa promoted to the 19-man bench.
However, Moses, who has not played since injuring his hamstring 48 hours before Origin I, trained by himself.
But Blues Team Performance Manager Frank Ponissi told SEN he was confident Moses would still line up.

“He's on track,” Ponissi told SEN 1170 Arvos.
“It's been planned all (week) that yesterday he was rested from training, today he had restricted training, but he was running, and on Saturday he'll be back for full team training, so everything is going to plan.
“Absolutely (I am confident he’ll play).
“It's mainly been about whether his hamstring would be fine for the game, and our medical team have been liaising regularly over the last week or so with the Parramatta medical staff, and it's all been very positive from both ends.

“So, once that information got back to Laurie (Daley) and the coaches, they had no hesitation in selecting him, given the time of year, he has played a lot of football, so that would never really come into the calculation.
“It was more about whether the hamstring would be right or not.”
NSW are hoping to seal the series in Melbourne on June 17.
