Josiah Karapani has once again found himself in trouble with the police, the 24-year-old being charged with a drink driving offence.

The club confirmed on Monday afternoon that the winger had been pulled over by Queensland Police on Sunday morning having recorded a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) of 0.037.

Karapani holds a provisional license, which saw him exceed the legal limit of 0.00.

Queensland Police also issued an infringement notice for speeding after allegedly going 119 km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Pacific Highway, alongside failure to show P Plates, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

As a result, the Broncos have confirmed that Karapani will miss their Round 18 clash against the Sharks on Saturday night.

Earlier in the season, the winger had received a fine of $1001 from Queensland Police for a public nuisance offence.

The winger has been issued a notice to appear in court regarding the drink driving on July 21.
