We knew it would be unprecedented but did anyone had Ronaldo and Ronaldinho driving Madonna out in a car on the the field on their 2026 bingo card?

Add to that the muppets playing in a band which including a musical rendition of Norway's "Roo" into BTS coming on stage.

The half-time show was creatively directed by Coldplay's Chris Martin. It broke the regulation 15 minute break time as stipulated by FIFA rules but hey, rules are there to be broken right?

The muppets and Kpop was followed by a slowing of the tempo, Ted Lasso coaching Justin Bieber before his performance, reassuring the superstar that "no-one was watching".

Bieber, guitar in hand, held the crowd in silence to his "Everything Hallelujah" hit.

The came the queen of the World Cup hit in the form of Shakira.

It was not everyone's cup of tea, when asked what his favourite moment from the show was, former England striker Wayne Rooney told the BBC: "I'll be honest, when it finished. I like a lot of them artists, but I thought it was crap."

This World Cup truly has brought us everything.
