Zac Lomax is set to make his NRL return in 2028, having signed a deal with the PNG Chiefs.

The NSW representative left the code at the end of 2025 to join the rebel Rugby Union competition R360, seeing him released from his deal with the Parramatta Eels.

After the competition was delayed until 2028, Lomax attempted to re-enter the NRL with the Melbourne Storm, having taken the Eels to court to overturn a clause in his release.

He joins the likes of Jarome Luai, Connor Watson, Alex Johnston and Matty Lees to join the club for its inaugural season.

The former Dragon was unveiled on Sunday by GM of Football Michael Chammmas as seen on the club's Instagram account.

The 26-year-old has spent this year playing Rugby Union with Super Rugby side Western Force in a bid to represent the Wallabies at the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
