The NFL’s first official regular season game in Australia has been boosted from an entertainment perspective.
The Jonas Brothers will perform at the San Francisco 49ers v Los Angeles Rams clash at the MCG on Friday, September 11.
The NFL announced that the multi-platinum group will feature at half-time of the history-making fixture.
“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” said the Jonas Brothers.
“Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”

The 49ers v Rams clash kicks off at 10:35am AEST on Friday, September 11.
Surrounding the match itself will be the NFL Kickoff Festival at Melbourne Park from September 10-12 which will feature Aussie artists including Sneaky Sound System, Peking Duk, Hot Dub Time Machine and Grinspoon.
Tim Tubito, the NFL’s Senior Director, Global Event Presentation, Music & Entertainment, will join Garry Lyon and Tim Watson on SEN Breakfast from 8am AEST.
