Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has partnered with Southside Racing for its two $1 million slot races later this year.
SEN has secured slots in both the Meteorite at Cranbourne and Supernova at Pakenham for 2026.
CEO Craig Hutchison announced the partnership on SENTrack’s Giddy Up with Gareth Hall on Monday morning.
“It’s going to be amazing. We love slot racing. Anything that grows racing, connection with your community, your region, fandom, bringing people in; we're here as a business and love it,” said Hutchison.
“We're delighted to be partnering. Thank you for the opportunity. We're thrilled to be involved.
“We're there to support all slot holders and to tell their stories. I think one of the great things about racing is that it is just a beautiful platform to tell stories, and things like this give it an opportunity to do that.”
Gareth Hall added: “We have a slot in the two slot races at Cranbourne and also at Pakenham. These two slot races are getting bigger and better each year.”
Hall says Giddy Up will take the audience on the ride as SEN goes about securing the runners.
“We're going to have a lot of fun with trying to pick our horse,” said Hall.
“It’s going to be all on the radio, we're going to try and do the deal as we speak to people and chat to them throughout the weeks here on Giddy Up.”
Hutchy added: “We do represent our audience, we'd love our audience to get involved.
“These will be details along the way of how our audience can share in it. We never do anything without our audience getting a piece of the upside with no risk to them, so that'll be our commitment again.”
Alastair Dwyer, general manager of Southside Racing, was delighted to open the door to SEN and SENTrack.
“We’re thrilled to announce today that SEN will be on board this year,” Dwyer said.
“The trainers are starting to ring now and offer some of their horses.
“I think you're going to have a lot of fun in the lead-up, with both million dollar races… The sky is the limit with this.”
This year will be the third running of the Meteorite which was taken out by Nadal in the inaugural year in 2024. Jigsaw took out last year’s edition.
Likewise for the Supernova who has had Here To Shock (2024) and Warnie (2025) as its two winners to date.
The Meteorite takes place at Cranbourne on November 21 and the Supernova at Pakenham is on December 12.
