David Taggart & Cam Luke have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Sandown & Warwick Farm in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
SANDOWN
Race 3 | 11. Resolutely
This race is an absolute cracker but I'm with this girl who everyone thought held on last start. She worked early, found a length it was just a bit soft late. She will come on from that run. Back to 1200m is a tick. She'll be on speed today from a nice gate which traditionally is the place to be here at Sandown. She has charged home GH, Stars Dom and last start beaten by a horse that is highly rated. Ghana’s Akan is the fave and comes out of the same race. Had no luck in that race but expect her to be behind Resolutely and that will be the difference today.
Race 6 | 9. Island Boy (each-way)
Has had a freshen up but stays at the 1600m and thought he was decent last start in a tougher race and was squeezed a little late so the margin should have been less. He is a miler and the soft track albeit doesn’t read amazing, they have been in tougher races than this. Won't do much work from the gate and expect to run very well with some freshness in his legs after a month off. Fave deserves to be but Island Boy is a great each-way play!
Race 7 | 11. Star Trip
Was pretty good second up here when fighting deep when on fence in inferior ground. His first up was a trial due to no luck. Toe into the ground no issue and the 1200m third up is a good thing. Carries a low weight with the claim and from that gate will be able to assess speed (I expect it fast) and allow horse to find groove and position. Will be very hard to beat. One out in the Quaddie.
WARWICK FARM
Race 1 | 7. Profitabelle
Was really good on debut and then probably a bit keen in the Millenium when on the inside and wrong part of the track before being eased down. Has trailed up well and looks to have come back in great order. Went over the line with Chilly Girl in trial. Nicely drawn to be able to grab cover with Blessed Eagle expected to ensure some speed. I like the 1100 kick off point as she is a big rangey filly who will appreciate a trip and being to the middle works better than inside like last time out. Nice race but expect her to be flying late.
Race 3 | 4. Deep Pleasure
The SENTrack family know I have been with her all prep. Some back luck, some better horse (Santono Jasmine/Concordia Wind) the latter who belted them Saturday. Will lead no dramas here. Fit as good be. 1600 a big tick . Speed map bet here and fingers crossed we get some money back. Sets up again for her to be in th finish and she will. I've backed her and the quinella with Colombus because if she doesn’t win, she will run second but I think today is the day!
Race 7 | 12. Heroic Deed
Was really good last start and is a progressive horse who gets a chance today to go up in grade and have a crack. Soft track is perfect as is the gate to sit 1-1. Stays at the 1200 which works and is well weighted. Had no luck last start when posted three wide on speed with no cover and still was impressive. This race has a number of chances but I think his ability to rise to the challenge will see an even better horse than we have seen early career and be too good.
SANDOWN
Race 3 | 11. Resolutely
Just missed last start and she should get a better run in transit than Ghana’s Akan just like last start. Will go forward and get every chance for Willow who should ride her a peach.
Race 5 | 4. Cutomer Service
Has been knocking on the door and this is an easier race to what he’s been contesting in of late as he drops into a BM66. Went forward in a small field last start but I doubt he will race as close here. Draws well and is going to be hard to beat.
WARWICK FARM
Race 3 | 4. Deep Pleasure
Has been frustrating for punters in recent times but does she find her race here? Draws good, blinkers go on and will go forward as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of pace in the race. If that’s the case she will control it to her liking and be hard to beat.
Race 4 | 4. Scenic Point
Resumes for her new stable. Has trialled up really well and she is a listed winner as a 3yo. Draws soft for Nash who should get the cash.
Race 6 | 4. Vaililee
Resumes and he does have ability. Comes into this winning both his trials in good style and he has speed to burn. Hopefully jump lead win or he can just park off Just Awesome who draws directly inside as he has pace too.
