Expert form analyst Mark Hunter has taken a look at the Group 3 Carlyon Stakes (1000m) at Sandown on Saturday.

He has analysed every horse in the race, runner by runner, and believes he has found us the winner!

Hunter is with the favourite, Cavalry Girl, to take out the sprint, referencing her race fitness as the main factor for why the Tom Dabernig-trained mare can win.

“I'm going to tip number 7, Cavalry Girl,” revealed Hunter on SENTrack & RSN's Giddy Up.

“Just race fitness on this sort of ground is absolutely vital, and she's got that in spades.

“She hasn't seen a heavy on race day. She's got through the soft 7 really well.

“She doesn't have to lead. I think she would let Beast Mode go, do what Beast Mode does, sit on his back and come off his back at the 300m.

“She's got a great little turn of foot and she's just a winner.

“She won a very weak race last time, but I think she can get the job done here with race fitness.”

Hunter also provided a YES or NO rating for each horse in the Group 3.
