BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)

SANDOWN (Hillside) - Race 7 No.2 - EVAPORATE - Bit tardy fresh and worked around the field tp lead fresh in G2 Lawrence then fought hard beating all-bar Cosmic Crusader (terrific last week in G1) and Private Eye. Hes generally a much better horse 2nd-up that 1st-up too. One to beat.

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 7 No.7 - IDLE FLYER - Easy to like her return against the A-grade at WFA and she’s always a better mare 2nd-up, in fact, she’s unbeaten (4 for 4) when 2nd-up and back notch here. Suited!

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

SANDOWN (Hillside) - Race 9 No.7 - RECON - Ran into a dead-end fresh in Regal Roller then hit line when race was long gone. Hes unbeaten (3 for 3) second-up and latest was an excellent Hareeba Stks win. The value here $7?

Sandown, Race 8 - G1 Moir Stks - WFA - 1000m

1. 13 - NATURAL FLING - Bolted in fresh running fast time with late strength on the clock and did it carrying 6kg above WFA. No issue back at 1000m for mine. No issue wide gate for mine here in chute starts. Pattern?

2. 4 - GENEROSITY - Resumes. Trialling super. Beat Marhoona in G2 Challenge Stks fresh last prep then wide/ very good in Galaxy. Mixed luck in G1 Sangster. Value danger $15?

3. 7 - MY GLADIOLA - Resumes. Loving her trials. Gave Tentyris a scare in G1 Lightning fresh last prep. All her fresh form is super.

4. 11 - EXTRAGALACTIC - Resumes. Blew them away fresh at 1000m then went on to G1 2nd in Goodwood when somehow beaten by miracle bob. Latest trial = excellent.

5. 1 - GIGA KICK - Resumes. Was not well ridden when beaten by My Gladiola and Co fresh last prep in G1 Lightning. Best form these days is 1200m but is the class!

6. 9 - CAVALRY GIRL - Flying and fit. Love her at 1000m. Up to G1 WFA the next challenge.
