Brisbane Lions star Will Ashcroft has identified the teammates who could guide the club to a third straight premiership.

The dual Norm Smith Medallist was asked to name the player(s), who if they go big, the Lions will win.

Ashcroft named Hugh McCluggage and Zac Bailey as the pair of Lions he believes could stand out on Grand Final day against Fremantle.

“The beauty of our team is a lot of guys (contribute),” Ashcroft said on SEN's Fireball.

“From a midfield standpoint - I could make a case for any of them - but I think ‘Hughy’ or ‘Bails’.

“Hughy is starting to hit his form and is playing some really good footy after overcoming some injuries.

“Bails just signed on at the club and is a really powerful, explosive player and sets himself for the big games as well.

“I think one of them.”
