These guys simply have that dog in them!
Within every football club, there is always a big dog on the field or off the field that are the figurehead of that side.
And on AFL Trade Radio, Tom Morris and Tom Mitchell named their 'Big Dog' from all 18 clubs plus Tasmania.
These selections are based on the individual having an aura and an important role in the decisions made at the club.
Those eligible include a club’s president, CEO, a player, a footy boss, a list manager or even someone not directly associated with a club, but whose shadow still looms large over the team.
See their choices below.

Mitchell says: Taylor Walker
“He still commands the attention (and) the room of that club; everything he says goes,” he said.
“I think his shadow still runs the club there.”
Morris says: Mark Ricciuto
“He was only on the board until a year ago.
“I still think everything Mark Ricciuto says in that town is gospel. I don't think necessarily the president or the CEO or the coach are big dogs.
“I was tempted with Jordan Dawson.
“If I'm seeing Jordan Dawson, Tex Walker, Mark Ricciuto, Matthew Nicks, Tim Silvers, John Olsen all walk along the boundary at Adelaide Oval, I reckon Ricciuto’s getting the loudest cheers and jeers.

Mitchell says: Danny Daly
Morris says: Danny Daly
“And if he's the next coach, he could be the bigger dog as well.”

Mitchell says: Graham Wright
“He's built two premiership lists at Hawthorn (and) Collingwood; could he do it at Carlton?
Morris says: Graham Wright
“I thought about Chris Davies. I thought about Patty Cripps. (He) is not far off, I reckon, but Graham Wright to me, as Damien Barrett calls him (is) the agent of change.

Mitchell says: Nick Daicos
“The decisions around list management, I'm sure they would never admit it but they're made around Nick.
Morris says: Nick Daicos
“By extension, I think the Daicos family.
“I think Peter Daicos storming out of the best and fairest last year was a big story.
“Craig McRae and Craig Kelly are also big dogs but I think there's no bigger than Nick Daicos.

Mitchell says: Andrew Welsh
Morris says: Andrew Welsh
“Andrew Welsh is clearly the boss there, former player.
“He's calmed the waters. He brought in Spike (Mark) McVeigh; he kept the Hird campaign at bay; he sacked Brad Scott.
“I think he's the one pulling the strings. He was involved in the Zach Merrett discussions last year as well. He's as involved as any president in the AFL.

Mitchell says: Simon Garlick
“I don't know him personally at all.
“(But) it just seems the way that he has put together the club and the successful run they've been on to be playing consistent finals football and contending for a premiership, it seems like from an administration point of view, they're in a great position, and it seems like he's the one pulling the levers, apart from the Wharfie Time button.
“He didn't push that either, so that's big dog energy for me.”
Morris says: Luke Jackson
“To me, (he) is just physically the biggest dog.
“Like he's the most exciting player. He's a true ruck rover in every sense of the word.”

Mitchell says: Scott Pendlebury
“I reckon they're gonna have so much respect for him.
“He's gonna have as much say as he wants but a lot of decisions and questions are gonna go through the big dog Pendles.
“They're gonna say, ‘What do you think about this?’ and he'll give his opinion and he's the big dog for them.”
Morris says: Damien Hardwick

Mitchell says: Patrick Dangerfield
“I think Danger has just got that aura and chest out and doesn't really give a stuff what you think.
Morris says: Chris Scott
“It's a tough one, cos they do work hand in hand, but I reckon Chris Scott just runs the show.
“I reckon he runs this club in a good way.

Mitchell says: Dave Matthews
Morris says: Adam Kingsley
“Adam Kingsley is the big dog now.”

Mitchell says: Sam Mitchell
Morris says: Sam Mitchell
“I'll say this based on conversations with lots of different clubs and players and coaches around the league there is no coach with more of an impact on the way their team plays than Sam Mitchell at Hawthorn.
“They follow his word like gospel, absolute gospel.”

Mitchell says: Max Gawn
“He’s got aura.”
Morris says: Max Gawn
“Even with (Simon) Goodwin there, (it would) probably still be Max Gawn, generational player; he's in the media.
“He is that football club.”

Mitchell says: Todd Viney
“The tough thing for Todd Viney would have been a long-term relationship with Alastair Clarkson and how difficult that would have been for him to have those conversations.
Morris says: Sonja Hood
“I've got Sonia Hood because she's the one who knifed Alastair Clarkson.
“She's the president (and) went bang.

Mitchell says: David Koch
Morris says: David Koch

Mitchell says: Dustin Martin
“I had no current big dog, but then I just had a flash of Dusty coming into the rooms this year for a game.
“It might have been Presty's (Dion Prestia) 250th game and just the aura he still commands from fans, players, like everyone just attracted to him.
Morris says: Matthew Richardson

Mitchell says: Ross Lyon
Morris says: Ross Lyon
“I think (it) is the most obvious big dog in the competition.
“Ross, clearly.”

Mitchell says: Andrew Pridham
Morris says: Andrew Pridham
“Pridham just runs the show there.”

Mitchell says: Harley Reid
Morris says: Harley Reid

Mitchell says: Marcus Bontempelli
“Bontempelli has been arguably the best player in the comp.
“I don't think Zak Butters has hit number one in terms of the best player in the comp, he hasn't won a premiership. He hasn't been captain of a club.
“Bontempelli is still all those.”
Morris says: Zak Butters
“I reckon Zak Butters walks in as the big dog. He's the most marketable player at the Dogs the day he arrives.

Mitchell says: Brendon Gale
Morris says: Ken Hinkley
“I reckon Kenny is a big dog.”
