St Kilda star Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has turned his back on rival interest to remain at St Kilda beyond 2025.

The Saints have confirmed that the 22-year-old has penned a two-year contract which ties him to the club until the end of 2027.

Wanganeen-Milera says it “means everything” to stay a Saint.

“From the moment I arrived at St Kilda, the staff and my teammates have supported me in every way, not just to be a better footballer, but a better person,” Wanganeen-Milera said in a club statement.

“I know how special it is to pull on the red, white and black. Every time I run out, I’m representing my family, my culture and this club. That means everything to me.

“I’ve still got so much I want to improve in my game, and I know this is the right place for me to keep growing. I’ve got great people around me who push me to be better every day.

“I want to help create something long-lasting here. We’ve got a tight group and a clear direction, and I’m proud to be part of building that future.”

The South Australian, who was taken with Pick 11 in the 2021 draft, was the subject of interest from Adelaide and Port Adelaide but has committed to the Saints.

AFL Media's Twomey understands that Wanganeen-Milera is now set to sign a two-year extension at the Saints, where he’ll become the AFL’s first $2 million a season player.

His fellow SEN regular Tom Morris reported the deals that both the Crows and Port tabled for the Saints star.

"Adelaide’s offer was $1.5-1.7 x 4 (they were prepared to offer longer if needed). Port’s was 12 years at up to $2.5 million per season… As much as $30 million in total," wrote Morris.

Wanganeen-Milera has emerged as one of the most dynamic rebounding defenders in the game and has also shown supreme ability as a midfielder while also impacting whenever sent forward.

He has averaged 30.2 disposals, 5.7 rebound 50s, 3.8 inside 50s and three clearances and is firmly in the mix for All-Australian selection.

'Nas' has also polled 81 votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award which has him sitting equal fourth (prior to Round 23).
