Kevin Walters has officially announced his first squad as Kangaroos coach as they get ready to take on England for the first time since 2003.
In his squad, the former Brisbane Broncos coach has named six debutants, which include Clive Churchill Medallist Reece Walsh, Canberra's Ethan Strange and South Sydney's Keaon Koloamatangi.
Penrith Isaah Yeo will keep his captaincy position, with Melbourne's Harry Grant named as vice-captain.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the teams' selection, Walters noted the importance of having a side that featured youth and experience.
“The State of Origin series was highly competitive and we saw some brilliant performances from key players in the Finals Series,” he said.
“There is a mix of youth and experience and all of them have the desire to represent their country on this stage. I cannot wait to coach this squad.
“England will be a huge Test on their home soil however this squad knows what it takes to perform at the highest level and knows what it takes to win.”
Their three test series against England will start on October 25 (October 26 in Australia) at Wembley Stadium.
