SEN 1170am has continued to strengthen its position as Sydney's home of sport, delivering year-on-year audience growth and strong digital performance as the network prepares for a blockbuster sporting schedule in September.
The latest GfK Radio 360 Survey 5* results saw SEN 1170am record a 1.5% share among All People 10+, while cumulative audience reached 167,000, representing significant year-on-year growth as more Sydney sports fans turn to SEN's unique mix of live sport, opinion, analysis and entertainment. The performance reflects growing engagement with SEN's local and national programming lineup, which includes Greg 'Brandy' Alexander, Jimmy Smith, Andrew Voss, Matty Johns, Bryan Fletcher, Joel Caine, Chad Townsend, Adam Peacock, Mat Rogers, Jarrod Croker and Denan Kemp - alongside strong demand for premium rugby league content as excitement builds towards the NRL Finals Series.
Beyond radio, SEN's digital platforms continue to experience significant growth across New South Wales.
For the most recent reporting period^, SEN recorded some significant results across their digital platforms in NSW:
The months ahead are set to provide unprecedented opportunities for audience growth, with the NRL Finals Series and NFL season returning, kicking off with the first ever in-season match to be played in Australia.
SEN's NRL coverage will be further amplified through its growing partnership with Fox League, with both Saturday League Kick-Off (Saturdays 10am-12pm) and The Run Home (Monday to Wednesday, 5pm-6pm) simulcast nationally across Fox League and SEN platforms.
SEN's Group Content Director, Sam Thompson, said the results demonstrated the continued strength of the network's multi-platform strategy and the increasing demand for high-quality sport coverage in Sydney.
"Sydney remains one of Australia's most passionate sporting markets and we're seeing more fans engage with SEN across radio, streaming, video, podcasts and social platforms than ever before.
"The growth we're experiencing in New South Wales is particularly encouraging as we continue investing in premium local content and building our presence in rugby league.
"With the NRL Finals Series about to begin, we are entering one of the biggest periods on the sporting calendar. Combined with our expanding reach through Fox League simulcasts, we're well placed to deliver audiences and partners unparalleled access to the sports and personalities they're most passionate about.
"We're grateful for the support of our listeners and look forward to continuing that momentum through the remainder of the year."
