Sports Entertainment Group’s (SEG) television production company, Rainmaker, is celebrating success at the 2026 Australian Football Media Association (AFMA) Awards last night, with The Agenda Setters named Best TV Program for 2026.

Produced by Rainmaker for the Seven Network from SEN's Southbank studios, The Agenda Setters was recognised for consistently setting the AFL news agenda, delivering in-depth analysis and leading discussion on the biggest stories in football throughout the season.

Rainmaker’s General Manager – Television, Trent Miller, said the award was a testament to the strength of the partnership between Rainmaker and the Seven Network.

"We're incredibly proud to see The Agenda Setters recognised as the AFL industry's Best TV Program," Miller said.

"The show's success is built on a genuine commitment to breaking news, driving discussion, and delivering analysis that matters to football fans. This award is a credit to the outstanding on-air talent, the Seven team and the Rainmaker production team who bring the program to life every week.”

Southern Cross Media Group Director of Sport – TV, Audio and Streaming, Chris Jones, said The Agenda Setters had continued to shape the AFL conversation throughout 2026.

"2026 delivered no shortage of major AFL stories, and The Agenda Setters was again at the forefront – often breaking the news that shaped the AFL conversation.

"In only its second year on air, our outstanding team, both on screen and behind the scenes, delivered exactly what we set out to achieve when we created the show – setting the AFL agenda each and every week of the season.

“I congratulate the entire The Agenda Setters team, led by Head of AFL and Sport Innovation Gary O’Keeffe, alongside our brilliant production team of Joel Brooks, Julian de Stoop, Jacqui Reed and Eddy Cornes, and our unrivalled on-air line-up of Caroline Wilson, Kane Cornes, Craig Hutchison, Nick Riewoldt, Luke Hodge, Dale Thomas, Mitch Cleary and Tom Morris.

"We also thank our valued production partners at Rainmaker, whose contribution has been integral to the continued success of the program.”

The award added to a strong AFMA Awards showing for the broader SEG group, highlighting the company's growing reputation for creating premium sports television and content for Australian audiences.
