SEN strengthens position as WA’s leading radio podcast network

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has continued to strengthen its position as Western Australia's leading radio podcast network, with SEN WA Breakfast and Mornings with Mark Duffield again featuring in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results as the only dedicated WA-produced radio programs to rank inside Australia's Top 300 Podcasts.

The result reinforces SEN's leadership in locally produced sports audio content in Western Australia, with both programs continuing to attract strong audiences through their unique blend of AFL, sporting and community-focused coverage.

SEN WA Breakfast - featuring Peter Bell, Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings - ranked at #217 nationally, and with 17,790 monthly listeners and 57,155 monthly downloads jumped six places from the previous survey. Meanwhile, Mornings with Mark Duffield ranked at #239 – up 23 places from the last survey period – with 13,202 listeners and 47,553 downloads for the month. Together, the programs remain the only Western Australian radio shows represented in the Australian Podcast Ranker.

Beyond podcasting, SEN continues to provide Western Australian sports fans with multiple ways to consume local content, whether live or on-demand. SEN WA Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am to 9am from Monday to Friday (except Mondays, where WA-based listeners can hear the Monday Means Test with Gerard Whateley and Adam Simpson from 8 to 9am AWST), followed by Mornings with Mark Duffield from 8am to 10am AWST, Monday to Wednesday. Both programs available live across SEN WA's extensive regional radio network, including SEN WA on the SEN App and DAB+, SENTrack 657am Perth, SEN Peel on DAB+ in Mandurah, SEN Goldfields 1611am in Kalgoorlie and on the SEN app across WA including Perth, the WA Mid West, Pilbara and Great Southern Regions, plus SENSpirit 621am in Bunbury and SENSpirit 1494am in WA's South West on Monday mornings.

The WA result formed part of another strong national performance for SEN, which recorded a record 940,000 monthly unique podcast listeners across its network during August, the highest monthly podcast audience ever achieved by the business. SEN also surpassed four million podcast downloads for the month and placed 18 titles inside Australia's Top 300 podcasts.

From these national numbers, WA listeners accounted for 128,400 reach and 550,000 downloads of all SEN content produced nationwide.

SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the latest results reinforced SEN's commitment to providing Western Australian audiences with premium local sports content.
